Wet Anaerobic Plants are more suited to large scale agricultural and industrial consumers with their continuous system operations. These are the most popular and are found in large numbers all over the world; both the traditional village scale plants as well as Farm Scale / Agricultural / Industrial plants. Though more complex in operations, these can take animal and municipal waste, crop residues as well as green energy crops. However, these systems are not suited for high solid content substrates. These plants have higher water and energy requirements than dry anaerobic plants. These are also more management intensive than their Dry counterparts due to substrate dilution requirements, temperature and PH monitoring of plants as well as due to the fact these plants once set in operation are impossible to shut down without impacting the entire cycle of bio gas production.
